Clinical Research and Service Programs
The focus of the Institute’s clinical research and service programs
is on enhancing diagnostic testing for cognitive impairment, testing pharmacologic
treatments, developing and evaluating non-pharmacologic and psychosocial
treatments, and advancing the clinical understanding of the brain aging
and the disease process in neurodegenerative disorders in order to improve
the care of patients and families. Services provided at the Institute
include diagnostic evaluations for Alzheimer’s disease, Mild Cognitive
Impairment and Age-Associated Memory Impairment, counseling services for
patients and families, clinical trials, and autopsy. All clinical research
and service programs are part of New York University School of Medicine.
