Basic and Translational Research Programs

The Insitute’s basic and translational research programs represent the work of molecular biology laboratories whose goals are to advance scientific knowledge regarding the etiology and underlying mechanisms of brain aging, Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative disorders, to develop and test new therapies using laboratory models and to prepare them for use in clinical settings. Basic and translational research programs are situated either at the NYU School of Medicine or at the Nathan Kline Insititute.
