Mild Cognitive Impairment
Some
older persons may develop mild memory and other cognitive problems that
are worse than usually expected due to aging - a condition call Mild
Cognitive Impairment.
For many elderly
individuals living with Mild Cognitive Impairment, retaining information
may be difficult, completing daily tasks can be demanding, and effectiveness
at work may be compromised. Researchers continue to develop and test
new treatments to alleviate the symptoms of Mild Cognitive Impairment
and clinicians continue to work toward a better understanding of how
to help elderly individuals manage their symptoms.
