Alicia Pierzchala, CSW Family Counselor Alicia Pierzchala, CSW, is a clinical social worker. She is a Family Counselor at the NYU Silberstein Aging & Dementia Research Center, coordinator of a study to help adult children caring for parents with Alzheimer's disease, co-author of a forthcoming book for healthcare professionals, editor of the ADRC newsletter Directions, and editor of the center's web site. Her training and experience has focused on working with aging individuals and their families regarding Alzheimer’s disease and issues of providing optimal health care to the elderly. Alicia Pierzchala also holds a master's degree in management with a specialization in health care management and policy from New York University.
