Alan Kluger, Ph.D.
Chief
of Neuropsychology
Alan
Kluger, Ph.D., is a neuropsychologist who completed two postdoctoral
research fellowships in clinical neuropsychology and in neuropsychological
and neuroimaging correlates of aging and dementia. Dr. Kluger is Chief
of Neuropsychology at the NYU Silberstein Aging & Dementia Research Center, and an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry,
New York University School of Medicine. In addition to his work at NYU,
Alan Kluger is an Associate Professor in the Psychology Department at
Lehman College.
Dr. Kluger is a
recipient of a National Institute of Mental Health FIRST Award, examining
motor/psychomotor deficits and white matter lesions in aging and Alzheimer's
Disease (1989-1994); serves as a reviewer for psychiatry, neurology
and dementia journals; has an appointment to the doctoral faculty in
the Neuropsychology Doctoral Training Program at the City University
of New York; and has numerous publications and ongoing projects in normal
aging and dementia research, including cognitive and psychomotor evaluation,
rating scale development, neuroimaging studies, and behavioral- and
drug-treatment investigations.
