James Golomb, M.D. Assistant Professor of Neurology Dr. Golomb, M.D, is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at New York University School of Medicine and an attending neurologist at Bellevue Hospital and Goldwater Memorial Hospital in New York City. Dr. Golomb is a collaborating investigator at the NYU Silberstein Aging & Dementia Research Center and director of the NYU Multicultural Aging and Dementia Assessment Program. He serves as neurologic consultant for the NYU Division of Geriatric Medicine and is the Director of the NYU Adult Hydrocephalus Evaluation Program. Dr. Golombs research has involved the study of neuropsychologic and neuromotor decline in the geriatric population with an emphasis on the distinction between normal aging, MCI and dementia. He has conducted pioneering research on neuroimaging correlates of memory performance in cognitively normal older adults and the cognitive implications of hippocampal volume loss. His work also involves the study of normal pressure hydrocephalus and its relationship to Alzheimers disease.
